"At the end of October 2009, I found kettlebells and Make It Happen Strength & Conditioning. It was love at first swing. For the first time in years, I had a workout that was truly a full-body workout…and I could feel it. For too long, I had worked out at gyms, sometimes with the weights under the guidance of a personal trainer, sometimes by attending a variety of classes, and I left not really feeling like I had worked out (though the workout itself felt tough at the time I was doing it).

Another challenge that I’ve had has been my knee. I had it reconstructed ten years ago (think hip to ankle cast and learning to use that leg again), so while I was somewhat limited in what I could do, I also found that trainers and instructors didn’t give me credit for what I could do/knowing my own limits.

Enter Make It Happen - the be all and end all of all trainers/workouts.

With MIH kettlebell workouts I get to feel challenged, I get to feel like an athlete (a few of us are actually training for various kettlebell sport events), and I get to feel just generally great. They are challenging workouts, but they are also workouts that give faster results than any I’ve seen before.

"I have always wanted to lose ten pounds. “Always” meaning since I realized – and started caring - that I had at least ten pounds to lose. I was maybe 13 years old when other girls my age started dieting and caring about their weight, so I did too - and always – ten pounds.

I have always been active. I played on every school team going in high school, including rowing. Sedentary living has never been my style.

Jen and Vice invited me to join their 8-Week Healthy Lifestyle & Weight Loss Challenge. I had done a challenge like this a few years earlier at another facility. Twelve weeks of very hard work – five days per week at the gym with bonus spinning classes – bought me four pounds. So, I was skeptical. But they got me with their promo line “remove stubborn fat”. That is what my fat was – “stubborn”. Okay, I was in.

Now that the challenge has ended, I will continue with my “gorilla eating”. I am energized and feel healthy and strong.
The difference maker for me was Jen and Vice’s weekly nutrition challenges and nutritional reports.
The nutrition facts that I learned from this challenge will now be the foundation of my food choices going forwards.

Oh yes, end result after eight weeks – and 40 years – 5 inches off my waist and – 10.5 pounds!"
